Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. The couple was moved to Oxfordshire at the age of five years old and attended the Dragon School. Emma had a dream to become an actor when she was just aged six. She was enrolled at Stagecoach Theatre Arts in Oxford, an acting school which offers classes for part-time students. At the age of 10, she had performed and taken the lead in various Stagecoach productions and school plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the movie adaptation of J.K. Rowling's bestselling British book was cast in the year 1999. Emma was discovered as a casting representative by her Oxford teacher of drama. David Heyman announced to Emma that after eight consecutive auditions they as well as Rupert Grint were chosen as Hermione and Harry Potter. Emma's debut on the big screen was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, released in 2001. It broke all records on opening day and weekend numbers, and was the highest-grossing film of 2001. Reviewers praised the film, and especially the younger actors. The Daily Telegraph, a well-read British newspaper, was awed by her for her performance. Emma was awarded five nominations for her exceptional performance. Then, she was awarded the Young Artist Award in Leading Young Actress in a Film.
